Inside the Faculty of Letters there are 6 foreign Reading Rooms

THE ENGLISH READING ROOM – Web Page

  The English Reading Room was opened in 1973 as an American Reading Room, operating alternately with American and British lecturers. There is currently no English lecturer

  The English Reading Room has a book collection of several thousand volumes, which continuously enriched through donations, particularly from the British Council. It is also equipped with a television and a video, that the university’s students and teachers have benefitted from and still do.

THE FRENCH READING ROOM – Web Page

  The French Reading Room was established in 1969 and has worked since then without interruption, serving students and teachers of the Faculty of Letters and around the university. Since 1990 Bruno Cinq, Laurent Fustier, Bruno Capus, Viviane Gourmelon, Catherine Jourdaine, Sabine Lecornu, Tiphaine Bertin-Evano worked as French lecturers. Currently the Reading Room is led by Guillaume Dujardin. Open courses in communication pedagogy, contemporary French civilization, written and oral expression courses and French courses with legal specialization are currently being held in the reading room.

  The Reading Room’s Library has a rich and varied collection of books (6.500 volumes, linguistics, literature, history, civilization, reference books (dictionaries), technical books, etc.) The library has 10 subscriptions to various magazines. In addition the reading room has a TV, a video, an aspectomat, a projector and a xerox.

THE SPANISH READING ROOM – Web Page

  The Spanish Reading Room functions since the academic year 1993-1994. The Spanish Embassy has equipped the Reading Room with 2.500 volumes of books and journals, as well as cutting-edge information technology.

  The current lecturer Isabel Fernandez Casana is working at the University of Craiova since 2006. He graduated Hispanic Philology from the University of Leon in 2005.

THE BULGARIAN READING ROOM – Web Page

  The Bulgarian Reading Room functions since 1976; it is attended by students from the Faculty of Letters, the Faculty of Economics and other faculties from our university. It has a book collection of 800 volumes. It is headed by Associate Professor Strahil Popov, PhD from the University of Veliko Tarnovo. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology, University of Sofia in 1960, and has a rich experience in teaching Bulgarian to foreigners. He worked for four years as a Bulgarian language lecturer at the University of Bucharest.

THE MACEDONIAN READING ROOM – Web Page

  The Macedonian Reading Room functions since 1975. Frequented by students from the Faculty of Letters, History, Geography, Philosophy, and Economic Sciences and Mathematics, the Reading Room has a rich library (700 volumes) and audio-video equipment. It is headed by lecturer Iadranka Angelovska, licensed in Macedonian Language and Literature at the University of Skopje 2005.

THE ITALIAN READING ROOM – Web Page

  The Italian Reading Room was established in 1976 and has functioned since then without interruption, serving the students and teachers of the Faculty of Letters and of the entire university.

  Communication pedagogy initiation courses, contemporary Italian civilization courses and written and oral expression courses are currently being held in the reading room. The Reading Room’s library has a rich and varied book fund. The Library benefits from subscriptions to various magazines. The Reading Room is equipped with a TV, a VCR, an aspectomat and xerox machines. Beginning with the academic year 2005-2006 the Reading Room is led by Giuseppe Mascia.
